Are PCI certifications recognised in India?
PCI is a institute building toward formal accreditation rather than claiming it, so PCI certifications are not yet government- or nationally-recognised qualification in India or anywhere else. It is designed around ISO/IEC 17024 personnel-certification principles and certifies demonstrated competence across the integrated controls discipline, including AI governance. We are candid about this status, because that honesty is part of how a credible credential earns trust.
Do I need to be based in India to take it?
No. The PCL-AI is a global credential and the pathway is online, so you can pursue it from India or anywhere else. The focus on India reflects the local sectors and market where the credential is relevant; the standard itself is identical worldwide.

- Work through the sample questions early to calibrate the standard, then study the weakest domains first; many candidates find one or two areas, often project finance or AI governance, need dedicated effort.
