Do I need to be certified to take part?
No. Chapters are open to everyone with an interest in project controls — practising professionals, people moving into the field, and students alike. You do not need to hold a PCI credential, or even to be working towards it, to take part. Chapters are about community, learning and connection; certification is a separate, independent process, and many members get involved in a chapter long before they ever sit the exam.
How do I get involved?
Register your interest and PCI will keep you informed as chapters, events and opportunities develop in your area. Much of this is being built now, and early participants genuinely help shape how it takes form. You can take part as a member, as a volunteer in a local chapter, or simply by staying connected and joining activities as they are announced.

A chapter in formation, stated plainly
PCI chapters are member-led communities, not franchises. Each begins as a chapter in formation: a founding group of local professionals, a named coordinator, and a simple charter under PCI’s governance framework. We list a chapter as established only when it has held its first sessions and adopted the charter — we do not publish member counts or activity we cannot evidence.
What a chapter in Singapore will do
Peer sessions on real project-controls problems; study circles for PCL-AI candidates; honest conversation about how governed AI is changing planning, cost and risk work locally; and a bridge between practitioners and employers in Singapore. Sessions may be in person, online, or both — the founding group decides.
